Inserting a Field Element
You can insert a field element directly into a Documaker document using the Insert Field task pane.
The areas in a document that you can insert a field element include a section element or paragraph element.

To insert a field into a Documaker document
- Place your cursor in the Documaker document where you want to insert the field. Alternatively, select the area of text which you want to apply the field to.
- Open the Insert Field task pane by completing one of the following steps:
- From the Insert group, click Field.

- Right-click a Documaker document and select Documaker, Insert Field.
The Insert Field task pane opens.
- In the Insert Field pane, complete one of the following steps to insert the field:
- Double-click the field you want to insert

- Right-click the field you want to insert, then select Insert

- Click the field you want to insert once to highlight it, then click the Insert button at the bottom of the pane

- Click a field to highlight it, then click a letter on your keyboard to quickly jump to the first field beginning with that letter, then double-click the field to insert it
The field element is inserted.
- If the field you want to insert is not available, click
to create a local field resource. After creating a new field, complete the previous step to insert it.
